Ford mondeo dpf replacement cost. Hello everyone, I have seen a Mondeo estate 2010 with the 2.0 TDCI (140 CV) engine at a local dealer (back street). If it's not that then it could be the fuel vaporiser in the exhaust pipe; it injects diesel in to the exhaust to raise the temperature to allow a DPF regen, if it fails then the regen fails. I'm in the process of replacing the vaporiser on my car (it's on order), £250 from Ford but £150 on ebay.
The mk4 has two rubber pipes from either side of the dpf to a differential pressure sensor on the bulkhead. These pipes go brittle and break causing the sensor to think the dpf is full and constantly tries to regen. The regens dump fuel in the oil causing the oil level to rise. Replace the rubber pipes to fix the issue.
