Hit up the usual suspects first, took a look at the starter and found the grounding strap between the solenoid and starter was almost gone. Must be that, I thought.
Went to go out again and nothing. It turns over but just won't catch. I plugged in the laptop and no error codes. The pump at the back of the engine seems to be making a loud metallic noise which I'm guessing is because its bone dry where I been trying multiple times to get it started. I hear this noise a few seconds after I turn the ignition off.
So protect yourself. Then check the glowplugs are actually getting power. Make sure the battery is fully charged also, a weak battery will just make it harder to get running. The MAF sensor fault may prevent it starting if it doesnt know how much fuel to inject.

Sounds like the battery to me, you could try charging it. Are you sure the stereo you installed isn't causing a power drain as it could kill the new battery if it is.

Well, I got it towed to the MOT place for the retest.. and it passed! But it still won't start! Apparently, the fuel pump isn't working and if you pump fuel into it manually, it works.
